Tasks and responsibilities of the Account Manager New Business
The Account Manager New Business Chemical achieves the following activities:
- Actively maintain contacts with existing non-food accounts within EMEA area, with a focus on the development of new products and targeted to an increase of turnover and profit,
- Structured acquisition of potential new clients within existing and newly to develop market segments and realization of successful advise and sales programs,
- Contribute to the development of new product groups and product applications and cooperate with R&D, Engineering and Production,
- To analyze the market and the international developments and to translate these data to new product possibilities and practical sales information,
- To advise (potential) clients about the existing product portfolio and about new possibilities and to build up a commercial network,
- To edit and follow up proposals, to negotiate about contracts and to end sales agreements successfully,
- To assist in the optimization of all supply chain processes and to initiate an optimal service to all clients,
- Participation in various projects: new products, market choices, partnership selection, marketing, etc.,
- Assistance in the development and set up of an effective marketing & sales strategy and taking care of a successful accomplishment,

Profile of the ideal candidate

- Education in Chemical or Chemical Technology with a healthy ambition to develop oneself within product development and international sales,
- At least some years of experience in a position in product development or marketing & sales within the chemical industry,
- Used to work independent and to maintain contacts with other disciplines, affinity with commerce and product / new business development,
- Active personality with an excellent communication and empathy, open towards others with a great sense of responsibility,
- Understands the technical side but has eye for the commercial possibilities and is eager to realize them,

Together with the Market Manager Non Food the Account Manager New Business Non Food will be responsible for the product technical policy and the further commercial development of the sales & marketing activities to technical (mainly chemical related) branches. The Account Manager New Business is expected to contribute to the technical development of the use of these ingredients and to grow to a leading role in the commercial and sales processes outside the food and beverage market. He / she will develop a relevant network and translates market developments into practical and successful sales possibilities. The Account Manager New Business Non Food maintains regular contacts with R&D, Engineering and Production and grows to an independent sales position with frequent client contacts and regular international travelling. |
